SMS API and SMPP
Send OTPs and alerts from your app or CRM with a simple REST API, or connect over SMPP for high volume.
Fallback from WhatsApp and RCS
Use SMS as the safety net: if a WhatsApp or RCS message can't be delivered, SparkNow sends SMS instead.
How it works
From sign-up to first campaign in four steps.
- Step 1
Register on DLT
We guide you through entity, sender ID (header) and template registration on an operator's DLT portal.
- Step 2
Map templates
Add your approved template IDs to the SparkNow panel so every send is matched and compliant.
- Step 3
Upload or connect
Upload a contact list, or plug the SMS API into your website, app or CRM.
- Step 4
Send and track
Send now or schedule, then watch delivery and clicks in real time.
Why it matters
Less guesswork, more delivered messages.
Without SparkNow
- Messages rejected for template mismatch with no clear reason
- Promotions accidentally sent at night
- No idea who clicked the link
- Separate vendors for SMS, WhatsApp and voice
With SparkNow Bulk SMS
- Templates checked before sending, with clear failure reasons
- Sends held automatically outside permitted hours
- Click tracking per campaign and per number
- One panel and one wallet for every channel

Developers
Send your first SMS with one request.
Pass the DLT template ID and variables. SparkNow returns a message ID, and delivery reports arrive at your webhook.

What is DLT and do I need it?
DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) is TRAI's registration system for business messaging in India. Every business must register its entity, sender IDs and message templates before sending SMS. We help you register and map everything in the panel.
What is the difference between promotional and transactional SMS?
Promotional SMS carries offers and marketing, goes only to non-DND numbers and only during permitted hours. Transactional and service messages, like OTPs and order updates, can reach DND numbers at any time because the customer expects them.
Can I send SMS in Telugu or Hindi?
Yes. Unicode SMS supports Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and other Indian scripts. A Unicode SMS holds up to 70 characters per part, compared with 160 for English.
How fast are OTPs delivered?
OTPs go on a dedicated priority route and usually arrive within a few seconds. You can see the exact delivery time for each message in the report.
Do unused SMS credits expire?
Credits stay in your prepaid wallet for the validity of your pack. Your account manager will confirm the validity when you buy a pack.
